Change the Display Currency on Binance Desktop
This changes how your portfolio value and balances appear across the platform.
- Log into Binance and go to the top right corner of the screen.
- Click the currency code shown there, usually USD.
- A dropdown appears with all supported fiat currencies.
- Select your preferred currency. The dashboard updates instantly.
This is a display only change. Your actual assets and trades are not affected.
Change the Display Currency on the Binance App
- Open the app and tap your profile icon in the top left corner.
- Go to Settings then tap Preferences.
- Tap Currency and choose your preferred fiat from the list.
- The app updates all displayed values immediately.
If the setting keeps reverting, update your app. Older versions have this bug.
Change Your Trading Pair Currency
Use this when you want to trade BTC with USDT instead of BUSD, or switch your base currency entirely.
- Go to Trade and open Spot or Futures.
- Tap the trading pair name at the top, for example BTC/USDT.
- The market selector opens. Switch between tabs: USDT, BTC, BNB, FIAT, and others.
- Select the base currency tab you want, then pick your asset pair.
You are now trading in your chosen currency.
Change Currency for P2P Trading
- Go to Buy Crypto in the top menu and select P2P Trading.
- At the top of the P2P page, tap the currency selector. It defaults to your region.
- Search for your local fiat currency, for example PKR, NGN, or TRY.
- Select it. The listings refresh to show offers in that currency.
Now you will see sellers and buyers operating in your chosen fiat.
Change Currency for Card Purchases
- Go to Buy Crypto and select Credit or Debit Card.
- In the amount field, tap the currency symbol next to the number input.
- Choose the fiat currency that matches your card.
- Binance recalculates how much crypto you receive at the live rate.
- Review the amount and fees, then confirm your purchase.
Always verify the currency before hitting buy. A wrong currency selection means unexpected charges on your card.
Change Your Default Fiat Region
If your currency options are limited, your account region may be restricting them.
- Go to your Profile then Account Settings.
- Look for Region or Country settings.
- Update your region to match where you are located.
- Revisit currency settings. More options should now be available.
Note: Binance restricts certain currencies based on local regulations. If your currency still does not appear, it may not be supported in your country. Check the Binance support page for your region to confirm.
What to Do If Currency Settings Are Not Saving
If your currency changes keep reverting or not applying:
- Force close the app and reopen it.
- Clear the app cache on Android by going to Phone Settings then Apps then Binance then Clear Cache.
- On desktop, hard refresh the page using Ctrl Shift R on Windows or Cmd Shift R on Mac.
- Log out and log back in.
- If none of these work, update the app to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
These steps fix the majority of currency setting issues without needing to contact support.
